Casual Bar Staff - Taproom / Events
We are looking for bar staff to join us and provide fantastic customer service and create a good vibe in our lovely taproom as well as at occasional external events. Shifts available between the following hours:
Weds: 15.00 - 22.00
Thurs: 15.00 - 22.00
Fri: 15.00 - 22.30
Sat: 10.00 - 22.30
Sun: 10.00- 17.30 (ish - a bit later in the Summer!)
Main Duties:
Completing opening/closing checks and ensuring that the taproom is kept clean and tidy at all times
Taking orders from customers and serving drinks
Assisting and serving shop customers
Taking card payments using our EPOS system (cashless bar)
Glass collecting and washing
Restocking as needed
Basic cellar management (line cleaning, changing over cask/kegs etc)
Serving from our mobile bar / event stand at external events (off site)
About You:
Over 18 years of age
Positive, friendly attitude
Driving license and own transport essential (no public transport links)
We will provide you with beer knowledge training - however a passion for Craft Beer is essential; a key aspect of this job is conveying this passion to our customers, as well as an ability to confidently talk about the different beers and make recommendations!
We also welcome applications from individuals under 18 for glass clearing / general taproom assistant work. Please note - you must be able to make reliable transport arrangements to get to and from work.

Assistant Manager - Taproom / Events - Full Time
We are looking for an assistant manager, to help run the day to day bar operations, create an inviting, relaxing space for regular and new customers alike, and lead the team in all aspects of customer service. You will report to the Taproom Manager, taking the lead in their absence, as well as supervising on all shifts.
Generally we anticipate core hours for this role would be during the following times (with some flexibility to allow for special events / private bookings / annual leave cover):
Weds: 15.00 - 22.00
Thurs: 15.00 - 22.00
Fri: 15.00 - 22.30
Sat: 10.00 - 22.30
Sun: 10.00- 17.30 (ish - a bit later in the Summer!)
If you do not have availability for a Full Time position between all the above shifts, we would still love to hear from you - please advise us on your availability when you apply.
Main Duties:
Briefing staff on their responsibilities pre-opening and on shift
Completing opening/closing checks and ensuring that the taproom is kept clean and tidy at all times. Overseeing atmosphere and ambience.
Taking orders from customers, serving drinks, leading all aspects of customer service
Stock control and cellar management (quality checks, line cleaning, changing over cask/kegs etc)
Act as main contact for private / group / party bookings
Act as main contact for street food trucks
Assist with event set up and close down (on site)
Setup and close down of external event bars. Lead the team and run the shift at external events. If possible, drive van/mobile bar and equipment to external events.
Ensure Health and Safety policies and practices are adhered to, and uphold high hygiene standards. Report all incidents
First Aider
Requirements:
Essential:
Experience leading a team in a supervisory / assistant manager capacity, in a hospitality environment
An eye for detail, particularly for the finishing touches that create a fantastic atmosphere for our customers.
Able to deal with difficult situations with customers / technical difficulties calmly and confidently
Driving license and own transport essential (no public transport links)
Desirable:
Able to ‘troubleshoot’ beer pouring / EPOS issues
Commitment to playing an active role in supporting the growth of the company
Personal License or willingness to work towards qualification
Emergency First Aider or willingness to work towards qualification
Salary dependent on experience
Annual Leave: 28 days / annum inclusive of bank holidays for Full Time Staff.
